Where your data is stored

Where data is kept at rest, and what is processed elsewhere.

HonkIO stores sent and received email, attachments, consent records and logs in Canada, in Quebec, with encrypted backups in Toronto, and email is sent and received through AWS in Montréal (ca-central-1). Message bodies are deleted after 90 days, and received attachments and raw messages after 40 days.

Resend lists no Canadian sending region. Whichever region you send from, it stores account data, including email metadata, logs and API records, in the United States.

Resend's data processing agreement names the United States as the main place of processing and does not mention PIPEDA or Quebec.

Processing outside Canada: an email on its way to a recipient goes wherever their mail server is, as the privacy policy says.
