HonkIO stores verifications in Canada, in Beauharnois, Quebec, with encrypted backups in Toronto. Codes are kept only as a hash, and the text that carried a code is not stored.

Twilio lists no Canadian data region: its regions are in the United States (the default), Ireland and Australia.

Processing outside Canada: each text passes through a US-based routing provider on its way to the mobile carriers. The privacy policy names it.
